In 15 years shipping AAA titles, I've tackled everything from console certification to online services integration to gameplay mechanics to managing teams through both smooth launches and raging infernos. I'm ready to jump into your project and codebase quickly whether you're using the latest and greatest Unreal Engine or unearthing the ancient tomb of a proprietary engine with comments in a foreign language.
I specialize in cross-discipline coordination and making organizations run smoothly at any stage of development, but I'm right at home debugging unfamiliar code deep in the bowels of an engine to squash the last must-fix bug the night before final submission.
I've spent 15 years in the games industry being a jack of all trades and working with tons of great teams including Firaxis, Visual Concepts, Hangar 13, and Gearbox. After spending my past several years in the industry helping everyone else ship their beautiful broken messes, I'm thoroughly excited to make my own.
I love games that manage to balance simplicity and depth, and anything with good emergent gameplay is where it's at. My dream is simply to make fun games with stupid features that people can play how they want.
I was forged by the 40-year industry veteran crew at Mass Media Games, growing from the baby Junior Engineer to the baby Lead Engineer and beyond. At 2K I became an Engineering Director and Helldiver-in-Chief, tackling strategic planning, interdepartmental communication, systems design, and - when things got extra fun - hands-on engineering late into the night.
